Just a few decades ago, Abu Dhabi, the island capital of the United Arab Emirates, was a small fishing village with houses made of mud-brick and palm fronds. Today, as a result of revenue from oil, Abu Dhabi is one of the world’s richest cities, with wide, tree-lined okulevards, lush green parks, gushing fountains and imposing skyscrapers. Somewhat of a dichotomy, Abu Dhabi is a combination of ultra-modern sophistication and Arab mystique, with friendly and hospitable people offering a warm welcome to visitors. Abu Dhabi’s history originated in the 18th century, when, according to legend, a group of tribesmen pursuing a gazelle came upon a freshwater well which they named Abu Dhabi, or “Father of the Gazelle”. In the 19th century, the first fort was built over this well by a sheikh of the Al-Nahyan dynasty. The fort’s name is Al Husn Palace, also known as Old or White Fort, and it is one of the few buildings in Abu Dhabi that is more than 25 years old. Its whitewashed walls are eye-catching amid the backdrop of today’s skyscrapers. Presently, it is home to the Cultural Foundation and serves as a documents centre. Abu Dhabi had little significance until the discovery of vast oil reserves in the late 1950s and early 1960s. In the years following, the city’s economy and infrastructure developed rapidly and changed Abu Dhabi beyond recognition.
Doha (population 700,000) is the capital of the State of Qatar, an emirate occupying the small Qatar Peninsula bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south and otherwise surrounded by the Persian Gulf. Qatar was ruled by many different powers through the centuries, in fact historians have traced human habitation dating back 5000 years. From its earliest history, Qatar was a very important trade route connecting Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley. Among its occupiers were the Portuguese, the Ottomans and finally the British during the turbulent years of the 20th century. Qatar gained independence in 1971, and with resources from oil exportation, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Hamad made improvements in social programmes including education, health and housing. In 1995, his son, His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani assumed the throne and brought with him a modern and progressive approach that quickly transformed the country. Doha, home to 80 percent of the country’s population, was founded under the name of Al-Bida in 1850. It became the capital of the British protectorate of Qatar in 1916. When the nation gained its independence, Doha remained the capital. During the early 20th century, much of Qatar’s economy depended on fishing and pearling. But after the introduction of Japanese cultured pearls, Doha and the whole region suffered a decline. Only when oil was discovered, prosperity returned following World War II. Today, the country produces over 800,000 barrels of oil daily. Doha is situated halfway down the east coast of the peninsula. It is an intriguing mixture of old and new, with ultra modern architecture next to traditional souqs and historic forts. It boasts a university and the Qatar National Museum (currently closed for renovation), which opened 1975 in what was originally the ruler’s palace. As the country’s cultural and commercial centre, Doha enjoys excellent communications with the outside world through its modern seaport, airport and telephone links. The Al Jazeera Arabic satellite television news channel began broadcasting in 1996 with its headquarters in Doha. While Arabic is the official language, English is widely spoken. Once a central trading port for East Africa and India, Sur was also renowned for the wonderful wooden ships it produced. Having lost some of its prestige when the French completed the Suez Canal in the 19th century, and struck by a cyclone in 2007, the city has nevertheless retained its scenic dunes and crystal waters. Sur’s most recognisable monument today is the Ras al Haad castle, a gem of Islamic architecture built in the 13th century to protect locals from Christian attacks, and which now serves as a regional political centre. While in town, science aficionados will be lured by the impressive Ras Al Jinz Scientific & Visitor Center, offering modern facilities and apps to discover the local wonders of fauna and flora. Oman’s capital city is hemmed in on one side by spectacular jagged-peaked mountains and on the other by royal blue sea. An all-day lounge next to the infinity pool, ideal for a waterfront escape offering chilled beach club vibes, with low background music by day and acoustic musicians and DJs as the sun sets, continuing throughout the evening.
Outdoor dining is available from nearby restaurant, Sakura in the form of nutritious bento boxes, conveniently served seated at a table, a lounger or a poolside sunbed.

Malt Whisky Bar
A refined tour across the globe’s most celebrated whiskey regions.
Set within the Explora Lounge, Malt offers a refined tour of the global whisky regions, including some of the rarest whiskies, complete with a walk-in humidor, cigar expert and a dedicated outdoor cigar-smoking terrace.
Alongside its drinks menu with an emphasis on dark brown spirits the bar also features an outdoor smoking area for guests to enjoy their hand-rolled cigars*, selected with the guidance of our cigar expert. A range of signature whiskey-based cocktails are also available, curated exclusively for Explora Journeys and served accompanied by the smooth sounds of jazz.

The Spa Facilities:
- Steam Room – A regenerating oasis of psycho-physical wellbeing. Air, steam, and scented fragrances combine and gently rest on the skin, making natural exfoliation easier and increasing perspiration.
- Experience Shower – A multi-sensory journey, the warm shower is complete with fragrances and soft colour lights, offering moments of utmost pleasure – either at the beginning or at the end of the day.
- Hydrotherapy Pool – This warm therapeutic pool is designed to promote healing, relaxation and physical rehabilitation. Heated to a soothing temperature, gentle currents and jets work to ease muscle tension, improve circulation, and support joint mobility.
- Finnish Sauna – A deeply purifying experience using dry heat, to help you unwind and reduce stress levels while also opening the airways, relaxing the muscles, and oxygenating tissues.
- Salt Cave – In an inviting cavern with walls covered in Himalayan salt bricks, the air is infused with microscopic salt particles and negative ions. As you inhale the mineral-rich air, respiratory health is enhanced and a sense of overall relaxation ensues.
- Steam Shower – A shower that combines the relaxing heat of the steam and the regenerating freshness of water. (* Available within private Spa suites)
- Ice Fall – The Ice Fall regenerates the body after intense heat exposure in the Finnish Sauna or Steam Room.

MINDFULNESS YOGA:

Yoga flow with a focus on pranayama techniques, proven to enhance oxygen flow and reduce anxiety. The practice ends with an immune-fortifying juice shot.
Immune Boosting Retreat
This wholly restorative programme includes an introductory one-to-one workshop with a welcome immune-fortifying juice, as well as a one-to-one yoga flow with a focus on pranayama techniques and thymus tapping. The programme is complemented by a specially curated immune-fortifying lunch and an Aromatherapy Associates Immune Support Treatment.

Fitness Studio
Located within the Fitness Centre, the Fitness Studio allows guests to take part in yoga classes with the Technogym training mats, which offer extra-large size and maximum comfort, or enjoy functional workouts with the Technogym Bench, Technogym Skill tools and the Technogym Case Kit, a practical and spacious bag with a QR code on the hangtag, that allows for direct access to a digital library of video exercises and guided routines focused on their needs.
Additionally, our Fitness Studio offers Pilates Reformers classes for improved balance through the strengthening of the core muscles.
Open Air Fitness
On the outdoor deck, guests can train in the open air, with direct ocean views. The Open Air Fitness area provides guests with the latest fitness equipment such as:
- SKILLROW, the first outdoor rowing equipment designed to improve anaerobic power, aerobic capacity and neuromuscular abilities in one solution
- GROUP CYCLE BIKES, perfect to create an engaging cycling experience.
- TECHNOGYM CASE KIT
Guests can use Skillrow, Group Cycle bikes and also Technogym Case in the way they most prefer: they can choose to train individually, receive support from a qualified personal trainer, or participate in exciting and engaging fitness classes.
More exercise options in the open air include:
- RUNNING TRACK: Encircling the ship is a 360º track where runners can enjoy commanding ocean views while they do laps.
- SPORTS COURT: The ideal space for touch tennis, half basketball, or yoga ritual experiences.

In Balance Ocean Wellness Programme
Explora Journeys introduces In Balance, a refined wellness programme inspired by the philosophy and discipline of world-class performance, created in collaboration with Jannik Sinner.
The programme reflects a shared belief: that true wellbeing is achieved where physical vitality, mental clarity and emotional calm converge. It is an invitation to reconnect — with oneself, with movement and with purpose — at sea.
The experience is designed as a 3 hour 30 minute guided wellness journey, offering guests a considered approach to movement, recovery and mindful performance throughout their time at sea.
During the Prelude Journey, in a two-day window sailing 24–25 July from Genoa to Marseille, guests will have the opportunity to experience a specially adapted 45-minute, short-format, edition of In Balance in the presence of Jannik Sinner.
Nautilus Club
A space dedicated to our younger guests
The Nautilus Club offers a tailored environment for younger travellers aged 6-17 years, featuring curated activities designed to entertain and engage. Children aged three to five years are also welcome at specific intervals for age-appropriate activities, if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Open every day from 9:00 until midnight, the Nautilus Club offers the latest generation of video games and VR consoles, such as PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, iPads and Oculus Pro.
Children can also try their hand at foosbal, pool (at a table designed and crafted in Italy by MBM Biliardi), or listen to their favourite music at our jukebox tablet connected to streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple. We also offer a large collection of board games and a digital library with a wide range of books across a multitude of languages.
Other Nautilus Club Activities
The space also offers sports sessions, technology tournaments, painting, arts and crafts, and games throughout the ship. Our Nautilus Club hosts are certified according to CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) policies and standards on youth activities, making sure that children and teens are looked after as and when needed. All younger guests can also enjoy reserved periods at the Sports Court, one of the heated pools, as well as other locations around the ship.

What is the dress code onboard?
At Explora Journeys, we embrace a relaxed spirit by day and a refined elegance by night. As we have no formal evenings onboard, there is no dress hire capability.
Daytime
During the day, we encourage guests to enjoy the ship in comfort and ease. There is no formal dress code during the day. Guests are welcome to dress comfortably while enjoying the ship’s many spaces and experiences. We simply ask that swimwear, bathrobes, and workout attire are not worn in our restaurants or indoor bars.
Evening
As the sun sets, and in keeping with the refined onboard ambiance, we invite guests to adopt an elevated resort-casual style when dining or visiting our indoor bars and lounges. From 18:00 onwards, we respectfully request that sleeveless t-shirts, baseball caps, sportswear, and informal beach footwear not be worn in our restaurants and bars. Tailored shorts are acceptable, except when dining at Anthology.
Smoking Policy
Explora Journeys respects the needs and desires of all guests and we have considered carefully the subject of those who smoke and those who do not. In compliance with global standards, smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor locations. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the suites and the suite terraces.
Smoking will be only allowed in the following outside areas onboard:
- Deck 5: Starboard Side on the outdoor Crema Café Promenade
- Deck 11: Forward, Port Side, Cigar Lounge (Cigars only)
- Deck 12: Forward, Port Side, Cigar section of Helios Bar
- Deck 14: Aft, Starboard Side, section of Sky Bar on 14
Service Animals
A service dog is defined as “any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a person with a disability”. Emotional support animals are not included. Explora Journeys welcomes service dogs on board, provided they are in possession of all documents necessary for entry to the countries visited during the chosen itinerary. The immunisation requirements are established by government authorities and are subject to change without notice. Copy of all permits must be shared in advance with guestcare@explorajourneys.com.
The dog owner accepts to be responsible for the custody, nutrition, and general care of the animal. While in public areas, dogs must be on a leash, harness, or other restraining device. Note that the ship’s Hosts cannot care for the dog, nor can the dog be left unattended.
Accessibility
Do you provide wheelchairs, mobility devices or accommodate other special needs?
Guests who require mobility aids or travel with medical equipment such as wheelchairs, motorised scooters, or oxygen therapy devices must notify guestcare@explorajourneys.com before final payment is made.
Are there suites adapted for guests with disabilities or reduced mobility?
There are Accessible Suites onboard Explora Journeys. Click to see Deck Plans for EXPLORA I and EXPLORA II, where the location of Accessible Suites can be identified.
What accessibility arrangements do you offer on board?
Should our guests have any Special Accessibility needs including, but not limited to reduced mobility, hearing impairment, vision impairment or other medical related needs, please inform us at the time of your booking so we can make the necessary arrangements to customise your Journey to your needs. Wheelchair assistance can be provided upon request on Embarkation and Disembarkation days although please note that we do not have wheelchairs or scooters available onboard.
Are the swimming pools accessible?
A pool lift is available at the Atoll Pool on Deck 10 and Conservatory Pool on Deck 11. The pool attendants are available if assistance is required.
Laundry
Washing machines and dryers are available in the two guest launderettes onboard, located on Deck 9 and Deck 10. Use of the machines is complimentary and includes hypoallergenic detergent.
For safety reasons, we do not provide irons or ironing boards in Suites, they are however, available in both laundry rooms.
We provide a same day laundry service with pick-up before 9am and return by 7pm (50% express service surcharge) as well as a next-day service which requires pick-up before 10am with delivery before 7pm the following day.
Your Suite or Residence Hosts will be delighted to assist you.
Please note Explora Club Gold Members are eligible for one complimentary laundry bag per Journey.
Explora Club Platinum and Diamond Members have a complimentary daily laundry service (one bag per day).
Medical Centre
Do you have a doctor and medical services on board?
Our onboard Medical Centres are available 24/7 for emergencies. In addition, we offer twice daily clinics for routine medical needs. Our onboard medical facilities meet or exceed the standards for cruise ship medical centres adopted by the Cruise Line Industry Association (CLIA) and include some diagnostic and treatment abilities; however, the ship’s medical centres do not have the same resources as a land-based hospital. They are staffed by full-time registered doctors and nurses who are trained to manage, stabilise, and treat most acute medical conditions. If more advanced care is required, guests may be transferred to a shoreside medical facility for continued treatment. Guests unable to manage their daily personal care activities (feeding, bathing, dressing and toileting etc.) should travel with a caregiver who can assist with these tasks.
Do I have to pay for medical care onboard?
While medical services on board are subject to fees, Explora Journeys offers a complimentary initial consultation for non-complex conditions. We strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel health insurance that covers medical treatment, emergency repatriation, and any related expenses.
Are guests who are pregnant permitted to sail?
For the health and safety of both mother and unborn child, Explora Journeys cannot accommodate guests who will be more than 23 weeks and 6 days pregnant at any time during the Journey. If you are pregnant but will be less than 23 weeks and 6 days at any point during the Journey, you will need to provide a letter from your obstetrician confirming your expected due date, that your pregnancy is low-risk, and that you are fit to travel without immediate access to specialised obstetric or neonatal care.
If you have already booked and do not meet this requirement, please contact your Travel Advisor or email guestcare@explorajourneys.com. Explora Journeys reserves the right to refuse boarding rights to any Guest who appears to be in an advanced state of pregnancy or who does not provide the medical certificate and shall have no liability in respect of such refusal.
Where can I store medication that needs to be refrigerated?
Every Suite is equipped with a private bar fridge. In case you need special storage for your medication, please let us know in advance.
Age Restrictions
Our adults-only areas onboard are the Whisky Bar and Cigar Lounge and the Helios Pool on Deck 12. The use of the Fitness Centre and the Spa Facilities are reserved for guests aged 16 years and older. Following Public Health Authorities requirements, children in diapers, swim diapers, pull-ups, or who are not completely toilet trained are not allowed in the swimming pools and whirlpools.
Wi-Fi & Internet Access
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in Suites and public areas for unlimited web browsing, emails, social media, messengers, and voice and video calls. Please note that the Wi-Fi connection on board depends on the satellite positioning and, at times, can be unstable or discontinued depending on weather conditions, the navigation area, or other technical restrictions beyond our control.
You are able to use the Wi-Fi onboard for calls and work however however please note that it may not be possible to make and receive telephone calls when we are sailing. In case you need to make or take an important call, please ask one of our hosts and they will assist.
Dietary Requirements
You will be asked during the booking process to add any allergies, dietary restrictions and special requests. Please make sure to inform us prior to your journey about special dietary restrictions
I have severe food allergies. Can I bring my own food onboard?
Due to health and safety regulations, guests are not permitted to bring food onboard. However, we have a dedicated culinary team that is highly experienced in catering to a wide range of dietary requirements, including severe allergies. Upon booking, please share your dietary requirements with us, and our chefs will create specially tailored meals to ensure your dining experience is safe and enjoyable.
Our kitchen areas and dining venues adhere to stringent cross-contamination protocols to safeguard against allergen exposure. We also offer allergy-friendly menus and can accommodate gluten conscious and other specific dietary needs.
For further peace of mind, our onboard medical facilities and staff are prepared to handle allergic reactions and other medical emergencies around the clock.
I only eat kosher or halal food; will you be able to offer it during my Journey?
We support a range of different diets and preferences including Kosher and Halal Raw proteins (but no prepacked cooked food) and we ask that you make this request at the time of booking your journey to ensure we have adequate stock onboard (preferably with 03 months’ notice or more).
Do you offer vegetarian or plant-based menu ?
Our Head of Culinary is specialized within this field and is creating exceptional plant based and vegetarian dishes.
Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility
Explora Journeys does not have any single use plastic onboard its ships and ashore.
We ban single-use plastic from our ships, also packaging of deliveries will be reduced to a minimum. Offering fresh and locally-sourced food gives us the possibility to be more respectful with the planet and the destinations we visit.
We don’t allow any single-use-plastic onboard our ships and while ashore during our experiences on dry land. Additionally, we offer environmentally conscious Destination Experiences as well as recycling and refillable bottles onboard.
We are working with tour operators that offer sustainable experiences with no single-use-plastic also ashore. Our Destination Experiences are planned to put a spotlight on local talents, craftsmanship, culture, gastronomy and traditions.
Our advanced wastewater treatment systems onboard process wastewater to near tap water quality. We discarge our ballast water exclusively on land while we are in the port. We have adopted strict treatment regimes to remove threats of species transportation through ballast water.

You can bring as many bags as you wish onboard the ship but be mindful of possible airline or transportation carrier restrictions. Luggage policies vary by airline, destination, and class of service. Contact your airline or transportation carrier in advance for baggage policies and fees.

The main language of communication onboard Explora Journeys is English. In addition, we offer support for other languages including Italian, German, French, and Spanish. Guests can access translated dining and bar menus, daily programmes, and key information in these languages. For guests requiring assistance in other languages, our Guest Services team will make every effort to connect them with the International Host or a host fluent in their preferred language.

Just a few decades ago, Abu Dhabi, the island capital of the United Arab Emirates, was a small fishing village with houses made of mud-brick and palm fronds. Today, as a result of revenue from oil, Abu Dhabi is one of the world’s richest cities, with wide, tree-lined okulevards, lush green parks, gushing fountains and imposing skyscrapers. Somewhat of a dichotomy, Abu Dhabi is a combination of ultra-modern sophistication and Arab mystique, with friendly and hospitable people offering a warm welcome to visitors. Abu Dhabi’s history originated in the 18th century, when, according to legend, a group of tribesmen pursuing a gazelle came upon a freshwater well which they named Abu Dhabi, or “Father of the Gazelle”. In the 19th century, the first fort was built over this well by a sheikh of the Al-Nahyan dynasty. The fort’s name is Al Husn Palace, also known as Old or White Fort, and it is one of the few buildings in Abu Dhabi that is more than 25 years old. Its whitewashed walls are eye-catching amid the backdrop of today’s skyscrapers. Presently, it is home to the Cultural Foundation and serves as a documents centre. Abu Dhabi had little significance until the discovery of vast oil reserves in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Doha (population 700,000) is the capital of the State of Qatar, an emirate occupying the small Qatar Peninsula bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south and otherwise surrounded by the Persian Gulf. From its earliest history, Qatar was a very important trade route connecting Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley. Onboard Explora Journeys, the Emporium Marketplace draws on this origin, providing an effortless all-day dining space, bringing global culinary talent and produce to the fore. Offering diverse cuisines with a focus on quality, Emporium Marketplace allows guests total flexibility in what they choose to eat, and when.
Bathed in natural light, several separate cooking stations evolve throughout the day with white marble and minimalist design accents, allowing the freshest ingredients to take centre stage.
Dishes include sushi, fresh seafood and a daily rotisserie offering grilled, roasted, and slow-cooked meats. Pasta is cooked to order, and freshly baked pizzas and bread are on offer as are home-made sandwiches. Charcuterie, fromagerie, boulangerie and patisserie stations add even more choice.

- Steam Room – A regenerating oasis of psycho-physical wellbeing. Air, steam, and scented fragrances combine and gently rest on the skin, making natural exfoliation easier and increasing perspiration.
- Experience Shower – A multi-sensory journey, the warm shower is complete with fragrances and soft colour lights, offering moments of utmost pleasure – either at the beginning or at the end of the day.
- Hydrotherapy Pool – This warm therapeutic pool is designed to promote healing, relaxation and physical rehabilitation. Heated to a soothing temperature, gentle currents and jets work to ease muscle tension, improve circulation, and support joint mobility.
- Finnish Sauna – A deeply purifying experience using dry heat, to help you unwind and reduce stress levels while also opening the airways, relaxing the muscles, and oxygenating tissues.
- Salt Cave – In an inviting cavern with walls covered in Himalayan salt bricks, the air is infused with microscopic salt particles and negative ions. As you inhale the mineral-rich air, respiratory health is enhanced and a sense of overall relaxation ensues.

Immune Boosting Retreat
This wholly restorative programme includes an introductory one-to-one workshop with a welcome immune-fortifying juice, as well as a one-to-one yoga flow with a focus on pranayama techniques and thymus tapping. The programme is complemented by a specially curated immune-fortifying lunch and an Aromatherapy Associates Immune Support Treatment.

Fitness Studio
Located within the Fitness Centre, the Fitness Studio allows guests to take part in yoga classes with the Technogym training mats, which offer extra-large size and maximum comfort, or enjoy functional workouts with the Technogym Bench, Technogym Skill tools and the Technogym Case Kit, a practical and spacious bag with a QR code on the hangtag, that allows for direct access to a digital library of video exercises and guided routines focused on their needs.
Additionally, our Fitness Studio offers Pilates Reformers classes for improved balance through the strengthening of the core muscles.
Open Air Fitness
On the outdoor deck, guests can train in the open air, with direct ocean views. The Open Air Fitness area provides guests with the latest fitness equipment such as:
- SKILLROW, the first outdoor rowing equipment designed to improve anaerobic power, aerobic capacity and neuromuscular abilities in one solution
- GROUP CYCLE BIKES, perfect to create an engaging cycling experience.
- TECHNOGYM CASE KIT
Guests can use Skillrow, Group Cycle bikes and also Technogym Case in the way they most prefer: they can choose to train individually, receive support from a qualified personal trainer, or participate in exciting and engaging fitness classes.
More exercise options in the open air include:
- RUNNING TRACK: Encircling the ship is a 360º track where runners can enjoy commanding ocean views while they do laps.
- SPORTS COURT: The ideal space for touch tennis, half basketball, or yoga ritual experiences.
In-Suite Fitness
Enjoy the all-inclusive functional training kit that empowers you to perform myriads of total body workouts, with the guidance of the Technogym virtual coach.

The use of the space is complimentary for all guests and the equipment such as balls, rackets and other will be provided on board free of charge.
Dress Code
We don’t have a dress code onboard but we suggest an elegant resort casual style.
Please consider the following in our restaurants, and indoor bars and lounges:
- Swim wear and bathrobes are not allowed throughout the day in any of the restaurants and indoor bars and lounges.
- Shorts and sleeveless t-shirts are not allowed during dinner time (18:00 – late) in Anthology, Fil Rouge
- Baseball caps and sportswear are not allowed during dinner time (18:00 – late) in Anthology, Fil Rouge, Sakura, Marble & Co. Grill, Med Yacht Club.
Smoking Policy
Explora Journeys respects the needs and desires of all guests and we have considered carefully the subject of those who smoke and those who do not. In compliance with global standards, smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor locations. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the suites and the suite terraces.
Smoking will be only allowed in the following outside areas onboard:
- Deck 5: Starboard Side on the outdoor Crema Café Promenade
- Deck 11: Forward, Port Side, Cigar Lounge (Cigars only)
- Deck 12: Forward, Port Side, Cigar section of Helios Bar
- Deck 14: Aft, Starboard Side, section of Sky Bar on 14

Accessibility
There are accessible suites onboard Explora Journeys.
Any guests in need of special services during their journey, or needing to travel with medical apparatus, including wheelchairs, motorised scooters or oxygen therapy are asked to please notify us in writing prior to final payment becoming due.
Certain Destination Experiences are wheelchair-accessible and there will be an icon to highlight these experiences. Depending on what the guest’s requirements are, experiences may be subject to availability as wheelchair-accessible transport has to be pre-requested. It is recommended that guests advise their preferred Travel Advisor or an Explora Journeys Ambassador of their requirements at time of booking.
Laundry
We offer a self-service guest laundry as well as a laundry service (charges apply).
Medical Centre
There is a medical centre onboard equipped for first aid and minor conditions only. The medical centre is not equipped as a land-based hospital and the doctor is not a specialist.
Medical consultations onboard are fee-based therefore we strongly recommend that you have comprehensive travel health insurance covering medical treatment, repatriation costs and expenses.
Any guest with a condition that may affect their fitness to travel considering the ship’s itinerary must inform Explora Journeys at the time of booking and submit a doctor’s certificate prior to booking.
Age Restrictions
Our adults-only areas onboard are the Whiskey bar within the Observation Lounge (where smoking will be allowed), and the Forward Pool area on deck 12. The use of the Fitness Centre and the Spa Facilities are reserved for guests aged 16 years and older. Following Public Health Authorities requirements, children in diapers, swim diapers, pull-ups, or who are not completely toilet trained are not allowed in the swimming pools and whirlpools.
Wi-Fi & Internet Access
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in suites and public areas for unlimited web browsing, emails, social media, messengers, and voice and video calls. Please note that the Wi-Fi connection on board depends on the satellite positioning and, at times, can be unstable or discontinued depending on the weather conditions, navigation area, or other technical restrictions beyond our control.
You are able to use the Wi-Fi onboard for calls and work however however please note that it may not be possible to make and receive telephone calls when we are sailing. In case you need to make or take an important call, please ask one of our hosts and they will assist.
Dietary Requirements
You will be asked during the booking process to add any allergies, dietary restrictions and special requests. Please make sure to inform us prior to your journey about special dietary restrictions
Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility
Explora Journeys does not have any single use plastic onboard its ships and ashore.
We ban single-use plastic from our ships, also packaging of deliveries will be reduced to a minimum. Offering fresh and locally-sourced food gives us the possibility to be more respectful with the planet and the destinations we visit.
We don’t allow any single-use-plastic onboard our ships and while ashore during our experiences on dry land. Additionally, we offer environmentally conscious Destination Experiences as well as recycling and refillable bottles onboard.
We are working with tour operators that offer sustainable experiences with no single-use-plastic also ashore. Our Destination Experiences are planned to put a spotlight on local talents, craftsmanship, culture, gastronomy and traditions.
Our advanced wastewater treatment systems onboard process wastewater to near tap water quality. We discarge our ballast water exclusively on land while we are in the port. We have adopted strict treatment regimes to remove threats of species transportation through ballast water.
